For House-call and Home-studio pet grooming services

Pawsome Groomer — Terms and Conditions

Health and Medical Conditions
Owners must inform Pawsome Groomer of any medical, behavioral, or health conditions their dog or cat may have and keep this information up to date. By booking our services, you authorize Pawsome Groomer to contact your pet’s veterinarian if necessary.

Accidents and Emergencies
While every effort is made to ensure your pet’s safety, grooming involves the use of sharp tools and equipment, and accidents may occasionally occur. In the event of an emergency, Pawsome Groomer may seek veterinary treatment and transport your pet to a veterinary clinic if required. Any veterinary expenses are the responsibility of the pet 
owner.

Aggressive or Difficult Behavior
Owners must inform us in advance if their dog or cat has aggressive tendencies, anxiety, or behavioral challenges. Pawsome Groomer reserves the right to stop grooming at any time if a pet poses a safety risk to itself or the groomer. Charges will apply for work completed up to that point.

Vaccinations
All dogs and cats must be up to date with vaccinations, including:

  • Distemper

  • Hepatitis

  • Parvovirus

  • Leptospirosis

  • Kennel Cough

Pets must wait at least 48 hours after vaccinations before attending a grooming appointment. If a booster vaccination is required, pets must wait 7 days after the booster. Owners are responsible for any illness resulting from unvaccinated pets.

Flea and Worm Control
All pets must be on regular flea and worm prevention. If fleas or worms are discovered during grooming, treatment may be provided at the owner’s expense to prevent contamination of equipment and the grooming environment.

Matted Coats
Pawsome Groomer prioritizes the comfort and welfare of pets and will avoid unnecessary dematting.

  • Minor matting may incur an additional fee if tolerated by the pet.

  • Severe matting may require shaving for humane and safe removal.

  • If shaving is refused, grooming services may be declined.

Grooming severely matted coats may expose pre-existing skin conditions and carries a higher risk of minor cuts, irritation, redness, or itchiness.

Grooming Instructions
Owners are responsible for clearly communicating grooming instructions. If another person drops off the pet, it is the owner’s responsibility to ensure instructions are understood.

If instructions are not provided, Pawsome Groomer will:

  • Groom according to the pet’s coat condition

  • Follow previous grooming records if available

  • Use professional judgment in the pet’s best interest

Liability Waiver
Pawsome Groomer will take all reasonable care to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet during grooming services. However, grooming may reveal or aggravate pre-existing health or skin conditions.

Pawsome Groomer is not responsible for injuries, illnesses, stress reactions, or medical conditions that result from pre-existing conditions, matting, age-related issues, behavioral reactions, or other unforeseen circumstances during grooming services.

Clients agree to indemnify and hold Pawsome Groomer harmless from claims arising from grooming services, except in cases of proven negligence.

Payment Policy 
- Cash and Eftpos payments are accepted.
- Please note that paywave and credit card payments may include a small additional fee to cover processing costs.
- By booking, you agree to our payment terms.

Agreement and Acceptance
By booking or using Pawsome Groomer services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions apply to all grooming services provided by Pawsome Groomer.
